There's something beautiful about the Lotus flower—it can bloom in the darkest and muddiest of waters, and that truly speaks to me. I've learned that you're never too broken to find healing, no matter how muddy or dark your experiences. Following my heart and passion for helping others led me to create a sacred sanctuary, Sacred Lotus Family Therapy Inc., which offers holistic wellness and traditional psychotherapy services.
Over decades in the human services field, coupled with an active role in the fitness industry as a group exercise instructor and former collegiate athlete, I've been grateful to acquire not only a set of learned skills but also to discover a natural ability to foster healing. This allows me to support others in their pursuit of wellness and peace.
In working with those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, and depression (though not limited to these conditions), I've concluded that trauma and other experiences are often stored in the body. Also, that many find it difficult to verbally process their thoughts and emotions, especially when in "Fight, Flight, or Freeze" energy. This can lead to ongoing suffering and repeated cycles of undesired outcomes. This led me to explore and implement evidenced-based modalities such Somatic Therapy and Energy Psychology, integrating techniques such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Sound and Vibrational Therapy into my practice. Physical movement is a crucial part of recovery and healing, which is a major reason I've included breathing techniques and stretching on the menu of wellness services.
In finding, frequencies and vibrations produced from sound, whether as a standalone treatment or in conjunction with psychotherapy, has proven to be a powerful vessel to help others heal and grow. Sound is unbiased and neutral; it meets individuals right where they are. Treating the entire person—Mind, Body, and Spirit—has the ability to offer and promote ongoing growth, no matter where you are planted.
My mission is to provide individualized care in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental environment. This will foster a space where individuals can meet their identified wellness and mental health treatment goals. It is my vision that everyone experiences healing, eliminating all barriers, including the stigma around mental health and holistic healing.
I look forward to welcoming you to a sanctuary of healing and restoration as you embark on your wellness journey and bloom to your fullest potential! Trust the process.
Warm regards,

Not at all.
While I am a Licensed Psychotherapist, the wellness sessions offered—such as the Sacred Lotus Sound Journey, Attune & Bloom, or Stretch & Sound—are considered non-clinical, restorative practices. These sessions can be experienced independently to support your general well-being and do not constitute a formal therapeutic relationship.
-
It is a restorative practice that uses instruments like singing bowls and tuning forks to create sound waves that interact with your body’s nervous system. It helps shift you from a state of "high alert" (stress) into a "parasympathetic" state (deep relaxation). It is a passive, gentle way to achieve the "ease and calm.”
-
Not at all. Drawing from my 25+ years in the fitness industry, I’ve designed this to be therapeutic movement. It focuses on gentle stretching and somatic release to help "unstick" tension stored in your muscles. No fitness experience is required, and we move at a pace that honors your body’s boundaries.
-
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) involves tapping on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on a particular stressor. It’s a clinically-proven way to reduce the "sting" of difficult emotions or memories. It’s a wonderful tool because, once I teach it to you, you can use it anywhere to regulate your own stress.
-
I recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to move and breathe easily.
-
Sacred Lotus is a private-pay practice. I am an out-of-network provider, and I can provide a 'Superbill' upon request for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
-
Yes. Therapists or other mental health providers may refer their client’s for sound & vibrational therapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), or mindful movement sessions as a form of collaborative care to their existing treatment.
-
No. You are more than willing to reach out to me directly. I offer a free 15min consult.
